If Gahlan Surlak is chosen as the army's Warlord, before any models are deployed the controlling player may choose up to a total of three Legion Tactical Squads and Legion Despoiler Squads from the same Detachment as Gahlan Surlak to have Abhorrent Augmentations. These units gain Bitter Duty special rules along with +1 to their Strength characteristic, but suffer -1 to their BS and lose the Heart of the Legion special rule and Line Unit Sub-Type. In addition, an army whose Warlord is Gahlan Surlak may make an additional Reaction in the opposing player’s Movement phase, as long as Gahlan Surlak has not been removed as a casualty. |
