In the assault phase, the Company Champion may change places with the Space Marine hero who is accompanying. This represents the Company Champion defending his charge against enemy attack. This takes place after models have charged into combat, but before any of the close combats have been resolved. The Space Marine Hero and the Company Champion simply change places, and the close combats are then resolved as normal. Note this may happen in either player's turn.

Confers a 6+ Invulnerable save, but does not use any hands.
