Rule
General:

A model with this rule is always the General.
Note: this means than only one model with General can be included in an Army List.

Death is only the Beginning:

Each time this model successfully casts a Learned Spell of Type Augment or Universal, choose one of the following effects, for a single targeted friendly unit: [leftmargin=*]
  • The Rank-and-File part of the target Raises a number of HP equal to its Resurrected value.
  • A single model in the target Recovers a number of HP equal to its Resurrected value. This effect cannot be applied more than twice on the same Health Pool in each Magic Phase.

Fearless:

A unit containing Fearless automatically passes Panic Tests, cannot choose Flee! as a Charge Reaction (unless it is already Shaken, or the entire unit has Feigned Flight).
In addition it ignores the effects of Horror.

Light Troops:

A unit entirely with Light Troops can perform Reform Move Manoeuvres up to twice its Mobility (instead of the normal half Mobility).
If, while doing a Reform Move Manoeuvre, its centre moves further than its Mobility, the move is considered a March Move for the purpose of rules triggered due to Marching (e.g. Dangerous Terrain Test and, if Undead, being restricted from performing a March Move, etc.).
For the purpose of shooting, this is still a Reform Move. I.e. the unit can shoot if moving further than its Mobility.
Note: this rule has no effect on other Move Manoeuvres, including March Moves.
A unit containing Light Troops is always considered to have zero Proper Ranks; ignore Attachable Models with Light Troops joined to a unit for this purpose, unless the unit consists of only Attachable Models.

Undead:

Units containing Undead can perform March Moves only if they benefit from a friendly model’s Commanding Presence. For this purpose, any Reform Move exceeding a unit’s Mobility count as a March Move.
Moreover, models with Undead have an additional characteristic called Resurrect (Rsr) on their statline, which can interact with some other game effects.

Unstable:

Whenever a unit entirely with Unstable would take a Break Test, it suffers instead a number of Health Point losses equal to the amount by which the Combat was lost (with no saves of any kind allowed). These Health Point losses are first allocated towards Rank-and-File models, and once enough Health Points losses are suffered to remove all Rank-and-File models, any remaining Health Point losses are allocated by the owner towards Attachable Models, as evenly as possible. Those Health Point losses can be reduced in the following ways:
  • If the unit contains Stubborn, the Health Point losses are halved, rounding fractions up.
  • If the unit is affected by Beacon of Courage, the Health Point losses are reduced by 1.
  • If the unit is Steady while affected by Beacon of Courage, the Health Point losses are reduced by an additional 1.
  • If the unit is Solid while affected by Beacon of Courage, the Health Point losses are reduced by an additional 1. I.e. a unit that is affected by Beacon of Courage while also being Steadfast reduces its Health Point losses by a total of 3.
Attachable Models with Unstable can only join units containing Unstable, and units containing Unstable can only be joined by Attachable Models with Unstable.

Soul Conduit:

If the Death Cult Hierarch’s chosen Path of Magic is:
  • Evocation: whenever the model casts a Spell of Type Augment or Universal on a friendly unit, you may activate Death is only the Beginning on any friendly unit within 18" of the model instead of one of the units the spell was cast on.
  • Any other Path of Magic: the model knows Whispers of the Veil (Evocation) in addition to its other spells.

The Lost and Damned:

In an Army List containing Ashotet, Skeleton Warriors and Skeleton Cavalry gain Tormented Souls.
In addition, neither of the following unit entries may be included: Death Cult Hierarch, Casket of Phatep, Rehnepeh the Undying Sun, nor any model with Undying Will.

War Platform:

The model follows the rules for Attachable Models, with the following exceptions:
  • It can never perform Make Way moves (not even if it is also a Character).
  • Ranged Attacks and Special Attack allocated onto a unit with a War Platform joined to it can only target the War Platform if there are fewer than 5 Rank-and-File models (or fewer than 3 if they are of Height 3–5) in the unit. (If there are no Rank-and-File models in the unit, ignore this rule.)
  • Any given unit can never contain more than a single model with War Platform at a time. When the model is joined to a unit, its Mobility and Charge Speed is set to that of its unit, with the following exceptions:
  • If there are no Rank-and-File models from the unit in contact with the War Platform’s flank Facings (right and left side), the model must use its own Mobility and Charge Speed instead. Meaning that, if slower than the unit, the unit’s Mobility and Charge Speed are set to those of the War Platform.
  • The War Platform cannot use the unit’s Mobility and Charge Speed values when leaving the unit (including Charging out of it). Instead, it uses its own Mobility and Charge Speed.

Assailed Sanity:

Once per turn, when she fails a Casting Roll for a Learned Spell using three or more Magic Dice, she can reroll the dice. If this reroll contains a double, she suffers a Miscast (equal to the Casting Roll as normal).
Note that this applies even if the spell fails or is Dispelled, and that she only suffers a single Miscast per casting.

The Pyramidion:

Spells cast by Ashotet gain +6" Range.
In addition, Ashotet can cast a unique Bound Spell (6+):
Surge of Mad Spirits: Range : 24"; Type : Hex, Damage; Duration : Instant.
The target must take a Courage Test rolling an additional D6. If failed, it suffers a number of hits equal to the amount by which the test was failed. Those hits wound automatically and have Armour Penetration 10.",

Ghost Step:

A unit entirely with Ghost Step ignores Terrain Features and Open Terrain when moving.
The unit must follow the Unit Spacing rule at the end of its move.
A Health Pool with Ghost Step never fulfils the criteria for which models must take Dangerous Terrain Tests due to Terrain Features (but still needs to take Dangerous Terrain Tests from other sources than Terrain Features, such as when making a Flee Move through an enemy unit).
If the unit ends a move inside Impassable Terrain, backtrack the move to the unit’s last valid position, unless as part of a Flee Move, in which case the standard Flee Moves rules apply.

Horror:

Flee Moves from enemy units made in the following situations gain two instances of Minimised:
  • Flee! Charge Reactions declared when Charged by a unit containing Horror (Flee! Charge Reactions declared when later Charged by other units are unaffected).
  • Breaking from Combat while in contact with one or more units containing Horror. Remember that units containing Fearless are unaffected by this rule.

Exclusive:

This rule limits which units an Attachable Model is allowed to join.
  • Attachable Models with Exclusive (X) can only join units containing X.
  • Non-Attachable Models with Exclusive (X) can only be joined by Attachable Models with X.
  • If a unit has multiple instances of Exclusive, all criteria must be fulfilled together. The specific criteria for X can be unit names, Model Rules, Properties, upgrades, etc.
If a model has both Exclusive and Attached, apply all requirements from both rules (remember that a model that cannot be Deployed is considered a casualty).

Aegis:

Aegis is a Special Save, with a value indicated in brackets (X).
If X is given as a modifier and with a maximum value (e.g. +2), the model gains this as a modifier to all its Aegis Special Save rolls, which can never be increased to rolls better than 3+. If the model does not have Aegis, it instead gains Aegis (7 X+). For example, a model without Aegis that gains Aegis (+2) will gain Aegis (5+).
Note that Aegis Saves cannot be taken against attacks with Divine Attacks.

Attack Attribute
Hatred:

An attack with Hatred must reroll failed to-hit rolls.

Magical Attacks:

This Attack Attribute does not confer any direct effects, but instead interacts with other rules, such as Aegis (X, against Magical Attacks).

Melee Weapon
Hand Weapon:

During Combat Choices a model part can only choose a Hand Weapon if it has no other options, or is a Weapon Master.
Models with a Shield using a Hand Weapon gain Parry.
All model parts without Innate Weapons come equipped with a Hand Weapon as their default equipment and cannot lose it.
