Shrewd Strategy Abilities
(Rule)Description: During the Select Crusade Blessings step, you can spend your Planning points to purchase one or more Shrewd Strategy abilities. All Planning points unspent at the end of this step are lost. Each time you purchase one of these abilities, select one **^^Genestealer Cults^^** unit in your Crusade army; until the end of the battle, that unit has that ability and the first time it is set up on the battlefield, place the relevant Shrewd Strategy ability token next to it to remind you (and your opponent) that you have upgraded that unit that battle. You can purchase the same Shrewd Strategy ability multiple times, but each unit cannot have more than one Shrewd Strategy ability per battle.
Note that if a unit with a Shrewd Strategy ability is destroyed during the battle and a new identical unit is added to your Crusade army as a result of the Cult Ambush ability, that unit does not have the Shrewd Strategy abilities that the original unit had.
