| Close Order: Such a unit is able to form up in Close Order. |
Elven Reflexes:
- Restriction: the bearer of this rule (not its mount)
- Condition: first round of combat
- Result: Initiative characteristic +1, capped at 10
|
Hatred:
- Timing: first round of combat
- Select: failed rolls To Hit versus a hatred enemy
- Result: re-roll them (optional)
- hated foes appear in brackets next to the name; 'all enemies' covers every enemy model
|
Impact Hits:
- Restriction: charging model that moved 3"+, touching the enemy base
- Result: causes the number of Impact Hits given in brackets (often dice-determined)
- Resolving Impact Hits: applied to the charged unit when its combat is picked, at Step 1.1 of the Choose Combat & Fight sub-phase, ahead of challenges
- Automatic hits at the attacker's unmodified Strength
|
Large Target:
- Restriction: Large Target (Large Targets)
- Result:
- Partial and full cover give it no benefit
- Line of sight to and from it passes across another unit, unless that unit is also a Large Target
- Shooting unit gets 1 additional rank firing at it
|
Magic Resistance:
- Condition: enemy spell, Bound Spells too, aims at a unit containing a bearer
- Result: Casting roll takes the bracketed (-X) modifier
- not cumulative; the unit takes the largest
|
Murderous:
- Restriction: mundane weapons only; the model's mount never benefits; ends while a magic weapon is used
- Timing: model engaged in close combat
- Result: may re-roll To Wound rolls showing a natural 1 (optional)
|
Poisoned Attacks:
- Restriction: model with Poisoned Attacks
- Condition: natural 6 on a roll To Hit; does not work if a hit roll of 7+ is needed or the attack hits automatically
- Result: +2 on the roll To Wound for that hit (optional)
- Valid in shooting and combat unless stated otherwise
- Excluded: the model's own spells, attacks from magic weapons
|
Stony Stare:
- Timing: opening of every Combat phase
- Select: each enemy model whose base touches the base of this model
- Result: Initiative test for each selected model
- Failed: D3 hits of Strength 2, armour save forbidden
- Ward save and Regeneration save stay available
|
Terror:
- Restriction: model with Terror
- Result: also causes Fear
- When a Terror-causing unit declares a charge, its target takes a Leadership test straight away; failing means it must Flee, passing means it chooses its charge reaction as usual. A target that cannot choose to Flee skips this test.
- When 1+ Terror-causing units are on the side that wins a combat: each unit on the losing side gets -1 to its Leadership characteristic for its Break test.
- Causing Fear gives no protection against the Fear of Terror-causing models. Models causing Terror are immune to Terror; a unit not causing it gains no immunity when a character that does joins it.
|

- Restriction: this model, even though it is a Heavy Chariot
- Limits: ≤1 such chariot per unit
- Condition: while it is part of the unit it joined
- Select: may enter an Infantry unit having unit strength ≥10 (optional)
- Result:
- it is always positioned in the front rank centre
- it does not have the Lumbering rule
|
Impetuous:
- Timing: Declare Charges & Charge Reactions sub-phase of its turn
- Condition: the unit has 1+ Impetuous models and could declare a charge
- Result: the unit takes a Leadership test
- Failed: it must declare a charge
- Passed: it acts normally
|
Scythed Wheels:
- Restriction: heavy chariots
- Result: each of their Impact Hits has an Armour Piercing characteristic of -2
|
Lumbering:
- Restriction: Lumbering models (heavy, with slow turning wheels or draft animals)
- Result:
- the model is deemed a Close Order formation and follows its rules, even if it is a single model in your army
- once it has moved, if it neither charged, marched nor fled, it may pivot on its centre, altering its facing by ≤90°
- it may not join any unit, and no character may join it
- Related: Heavy Chariots
|
Iron Shod Wheels:
- Restriction: Chariots (this model)
- Result:
- difficult terrain is handled as dangerous terrain
- linear obstacles are handled as impassable terrain
- Dangerous Terrain test result of 1: the model loses D3 Wounds
- Related: Light Chariots
|
Firing Platform:
- Restriction: this model
- Result: when it shoots or casts spells, its vision arc spans 360°
