Daemonic:
- Restriction: models carrying this rule are 'Daemonic'
- Result:
- unit joining: a character and a unit must either both carry this rule or both lack it
- universal special rules granted to each Daemonic model: Daemonic Instability, Fear, Daemonic Psychology, Magical Attacks, Unbreakable, Warp-spawned
|
Daemon of Nurgle:
- Restriction: Daemon of Nurgle
- Result:
- gains Hatred (Daemons of Tzeentch)
- an enemy model attacking it in the Combat phase re-rolls natural 6s To Hit
|
Infernal Favour:
- Restriction: unit with Infernal Favour (X)
- Result: wounds from Daemonic Instability reduced by X
- does not stack: the unit takes the best X among its models
|
Large Target:
- Restriction: Large Target (Large Targets)
- Result:
- Partial and full cover give it no benefit
- Line of sight to and from it passes across another unit, unless that unit is also a Large Target
- Shooting unit gets 1 additional rank firing at it
|
Lore Of Daemons:
- Restriction: Wizard with the 'Lore of Daemons' special rule
- Timing: when it discards 1 randomly generated spell as normal
- Select: one replacement, either signature spell from its chosen Lore of Magic or an option below matching its Daemonic Alignment
- Result: options
- Gift Of Mutation (Daemons Of Tzeentch) - renegades
- Cacophonic Hymn (Daemons Of Slaanesh) - renegades
- Blue Fire (Daemons Of Tzeentch) - renegades
- Pink Fire (Daemons Of Tzeentch) - renegades
- Plague Wind (Daemons Of Nurgle) - renegades
|
Poisoned Attacks:
- Restriction: model with Poisoned Attacks
- Condition: natural 6 on a roll To Hit; does not work if a hit roll of 7+ is needed or the attack hits automatically
- Result: +2 on the roll To Wound for that hit (optional)
- Valid in shooting and combat unless stated otherwise
- Excluded: the model's own spells, attacks from magic weapons
|
Regeneration:
- Restriction: model with Regeneration (X+), where X+ is its Regeneration value
- Timing: immediately after a Wound is lost, ahead of removing models at 0 Wounds
- Result: a "Regeneration save" roll of 1D6 (optional): on X+ the Wound comes back, but still counts toward the combat result
- Effects altering armour values do not touch the Regeneration value, unless stated otherwise.
|
Stomp Attacks:
- Restriction: a model with Stomp Attacks (X); X is often a dice roll
- Condition: the attacker touches the enemy in base contact
- Result: Resolving Stomp Attacks: carried out after every other attack in combat, Initiative 1 ones included
- They hit automatically.
- They use the attacker's unmodified Strength.
|
Terror:
- Restriction: model with Terror
- Result: also causes Fear
- When a Terror-causing unit declares a charge, its target takes a Leadership test straight away; failing means it must Flee, passing means it chooses its charge reaction as usual. A target that cannot choose to Flee skips this test.
- When 1+ Terror-causing units are on the side that wins a combat: each unit on the losing side gets -1 to its Leadership characteristic for its Break test.
- Causing Fear gives no protection against the Fear of Terror-causing models. Models causing Terror are immune to Terror; a unit not causing it gains no immunity when a character that does joins it.
|
| Close Order: Such a unit is able to form up in Close Order. |
Singular Essence:
- Restriction: character with this rule
- Result: every Panic test it takes is passed
|
Thunderstomp:
- Restriction: behemoth
- Select: target of its Stomp Attacks
- Result:
- monstrous creatures or behemoth: no bonus, being too huge to trample effectively
- any other target: Armour Piercing characteristic of -2
- Related: Behemoths
|
Lumbering:
- Restriction: Lumbering models (heavy, with slow turning wheels or draft animals)
- Result:
- the model is deemed a Close Order formation and follows its rules, even if it is a single model in your army
- once it has moved, if it neither charged, marched nor fled, it may pivot on its centre, altering its facing by ≤90°
- it may not join any unit, and no character may join it
- Related: Heavy Chariots
