(Rule)Description: The Battle of Merton’s Pass, AS 77, was fought between the dwarves of Nevaz Derom and the last survivors of the warherd originally led by Bragh, the Black Bull, who had been slain by Sunna.
The dwarven exploratory force was scattered by a sudden rush of hidden beasts, defending their valley refuge. But having fled in all directions, the dwarves rediscovered their courage – one imagines a certain amount of mumbled embarrassment – and the celebrating beasts soon found themselves trapped between armed companies on every side.
They say you can still hear the mournful lowing in Mertons Pass on cold nights. It's a classic study in military history, though I’d advise you to skip Cagilio's overlong treatise on dwarven tactics.
