Magic Dice and Flux Cards

(Rule)
Description: In the Magic Phase, players use Magic Dice for casting and dispelling spells. Each player receives a number of Magic Dice that can be used for the duration of this Magic Phase. Once a Magic Dice is used, it is discarded. At the end of the Phase, any unused Magic Dice are discarded (except if stored, see 3 Storing Magic.).

Flux Cards


Each player has a deck consisting of the 8 Flux Cards, selected from the list of 16 cards below. Which cards are used depends on the Army Size.

For example, when playing at Field Armies Army Size, use Flux Cards V - XII. Flux Cards for printing can be found in the Arcane Compendium.

During step 2 of the Magic Phase, randomly draw one of the Flux Cards from the Active Player’s deck. This card determines how many starting Magic Dice both players receive in this Magic Phase. Once a Flux Card has been drawn, it is discarded from the deck.

The remaining Flux Cards in the decks are open information to both players.
