Description: These upgrades enchant pieces of armour carried by a model, and can in general be taken by any model. That model is then considered as wearing an Enchanted Armour.
If an Armour Enchantment is restricted to models with a minimum Arm Value, for this purpose only consider the model's part unmodified base Arm Value (excluding Mounts), the number written on the profile in the Army Book.
The following rules apply to all Armour Enchantments, unless specifically mentioned otherwise:
• Characteristics modifiers, Model Rules, and all other rules associated with Armour Enchantments are generally only applied to the model part wearing the Enchanted Armour, and does not affect other model parts such as mounts. This includes modifiers to Global and Defensive Characteristics. However, note that certain Model Rules, particularly Model Rules that are neither an Attack Attribute nor a weapon, are always applied to the combined model (and not only to individual model parts).
For example the Basalt Infusion provides +1 Arm and Aegis. +1 Arm is a Characteristic modifier and is only applied to the Character wearing the Enchanted Armour. If this Character rides a mount that has its own Armour Value, the extra Arm from Basalt Infusion has no effect on the combined model. However, Aegis is a Global Model Rule, which means it is not applied to an individual model part, but to the whole combined model.
