Melee Weapons
Dawn Blade:

No armour saves may be taken from hits caused by the dawn blade and O'Shovah rolls 2D6+5 when rolling to penetrate the armour of the vehicle.

Abilities
Special Character:

May not be included in a force with Aun'Va or Commander Shadowsun.

Ork Fighter:

Any Tau model in an army led by O'Shovah counts as having the Preferred Enemy special rule when fighting Orks.

Breakaway Faction:

No Ethereals, Kroot or Vespid units may be included in O'Shovah's force. You may only include a maximum of one Stealth Armour, Pathfinder Squads, Hammerhead, Broadside Battlesuits, Sky Ray gunships and Piranha Skimmers.

Blood Brothers:

Every model in Farsight's army with access to the Armoury gains a bonding knife at no additional cost.

Independent Character:

Independent characters follow the Movement rules for models of their type, be it infantry, jump infantry, bike, etc. In addition, independent characters can move through difficult terrain more quickly and safely than ordinary troops. All independent characters have the ‘move through cover’ and ‘skilled rider’ special rules. This advantage does not extend to any vehicles they may be travelling in.

Independent characters are allowed to join other units. They cannot, however, join vehicle squadrons (see the Vehicles section) and units that always consist of a single model (like most vehicles and monstrous creatures). They can join other independent characters though, to form a powerful multi-character unit!

Wargear
Target Lock:

The bearer may target a seperate enemy unit to that engated by the rest of its own unit. All firing in the unit must be declared before any to hit rolls are made.

Shield Generator:

The shield generator confers a 4+ Invulnerable save to the bearer

Bonding Knife:

So long as the bearer is alive, the squad may regroup even if below half strength.
