Reanimation Protocols
If a unit with Reanimation Protocols takes one or more casualties, place counters or other suitable markers next to the unit to remind you how many casualties were taken. If the unit makes a fall back move, remove any counters from it.

At the end of the phase, after any Morale checks have been taken and fall back moves have been made, roll a D6 for each Reanimation Protocols counter next to the unit. On a 1, 2, 3 or 4 the damage is too severe and no self-repair occurs - nothing happens. On a 5 or 6, a Necron reassembles itself and continues to fight - return one of the slain models to play with a single Wound, placed in coherency with a model from its unit that has not itself returned through Reanimation Protocols this phase. Models returning to play in this fashion must be placed at least 1" from enemy models. If the model's unit is engaged in close combat, the model immediately piles in. Models that cannot be placed in this way do not return.

Reanimation Protocols rolls cannot be attempted if the unit has been destroyed - once the last model has been removed as a casualty, remove all your counters. Note that characters do not count as part of the unit for the purposes of Reanimation Protocol - if a character is the only survivor of a unit, his presence is not sufficient to allow a Reanimation Protocols roll, so remove any remaining counters. Once all Reanimation Protocols rolls have been made for a unit (pass or failed) remove all your counters from the unit.

Profiles:

Wargear
Bloodswarm Nanoscarabs:

At the start of the first game turn, randomly choose one non-vehicle unit in the enemy army. This unit is infested with bloodswarm nanoscarabs - any Flayed One packs entering play via Deep Strike do not scatter if they aim to arrive within 6" of this unit.

Phase Shifter:

A model with a phase shifter has a 3+ Invulnerable save.

Phylactery:

One use only. A model with a phylactery that passes his first Reanimation Protocol roll returns to play with D3 Wounds.

Sempiternal Weave:

A model with Sempiternal Weave has a 2+ Armour save.

Abilities
Humiliating Defeat:

If a Character loses its final Wound to Imotekh's close combat attacks, roll a D3. Imotekh counts as having scored this many extra wounds for the purposes of calculating assault results.

Hyperlogical Strategy:

An army that includes Imotekh the Stormlord siezes the initiative on a roll of 4+. However, greenskins always manage to confound his plans however, so an army that includes Imotekh can never attempt to seize the initiative against Orks

Lord of the Storm:

If your army includes Imotekh the Stormlord, the Night Fighting rules automatically apply during the first game turn. Furthermore, you can attempt to keep the Night Fighting rules in play in subsequent game turns by rolling a D6 at the start of the turn. If the result is greater than the turn number, the storm continues and the Night Fighting rules remain in play. If not, the Night Fighting rules cease to be in effect and are not used for the rest of the battle.

In addition, whilst the Night Fighting rules remain in play, roll a D6 for each unengaged enemy unit on the battlefield at the start of each Necron Shooting phase. On a roll of a 6, that unit is struck by a bolt of lighting and suffers D6 Strength 8, AP 5 hits (vehicles are hit on their side armour). Note that Night Fighting rules brought into play by a Solar Pulse do not generate lightning.

Ever-living:

If a model with this special rule is removed as a casualty, do not add a Reanimation Protocols counter to its unit. Instead place an Ever-living counter where the model was removed from play. At the end of the phase, roll for this counter, just as you would for a Reanimation Protocols counter.

If the model had joined a unit when it was removed as a casualty, and the roll was passed, it must be returned to play with a single Wound, in coherency with that unit as explained in Reanimation Protocols. If the model had not joined a unit when it was removed as a casualty, it must be returned to play, with a single Wound, within 3" of the counter. In either case, the model must be placed at least 1" away from enemy models. If the model is placed in coherency with one or more friendly units that it is eligible to join, it automatically joins one of those units (your choice). If the model was  locked in close combat when it 'died', and the combat is ongoing, then it must immediately pile in. If the returning model cannot be placed, for whatever reason, it is lost and does not return. If the roll was failed, remove the counter from play.

Independent Character:

Independent characters follow the Movement rules for models of their type, be it infantry, jump infantry, bike, etc. In addition, independent characters can move through difficult terrain more quickly and safely than ordinary troops. All independent characters have the ‘move through cover’ and ‘skilled rider’ special rules. This advantage does not extend to any vehicles they may be travelling in.

Independent characters are allowed to join other units. They cannot, however, join vehicle squadrons (see the Vehicles section) and units that always consist of a single model (like most vehicles and monstrous creatures). They can join other independent characters though, to form a powerful multi-character unit!

Phaeron:

A Phaeron, and any unit he is with, have the Relentless special rule.

Assault 1, One use only

When firing the Staff of the Destroyer, nominate a direction. Then roll 2D6 and extend a straight line from Imotekh's base in the chosen direction, a distance equal to the total rolled. Any unit, friendly or enemy, under this line takes a number of hits equal to the number of models in the unit under the line.
