Inquisitor Karamazov

The Throne of judgement bestows several characteristic boosts on Karamazov (included in his profile). Furthermore, due to the throne's size, Karamazov cannot embark in Transport vehicles.

Models equipped with assault grenades don’t suffer the penalty to their Initiative for assaulting enemies through cover, but fight as normal.

When assaulting a vehicle, each model using Krak grenades can only ever make one attack, regardless of the number of Attacks on their profile and any bonus attacks. Against vehicles, Krak grenades have an armor penetration value of 6+D6.

When a unit equipped with Psyk-out Grenades launches an assault, any Daemons or Psykers in the assaulted unit(s) are reduced to Initiative 1 for the remainder of the phase.

During a turn in which a unit equipped with Rad Grenades launches an assault, or is assaulted, the enemy unit(s) suffer a -1 penalty to Toughness until the end of the phase (this does affect the victims' instant death threshold).

The Orbital Strike Relay is treated as a ranged weapon that can be used provided the bearer did not move in the preceding Movement phase (though he can later assault if the controlling player wishes). Each time the Orbital relay is used, you must choose which kind of strike you wish to call down. Note that Orbital Strikes always scatter the full 2D6" in the direction shown (if a hit is rolled, they scatter in the direction of the small arrow on the 'hit' symbol).

When Karamazov's Orbital Strike Relay is 'fired', you can choose to place the template so its centre is over a friendly model, rather than an enemy - even if that friendly model is in combat. If you do so, the shot does not scatter. All models under the template are hit as normal.

Karamazov can always choose to pass or fail Morale and Pinning tests as he wishes. Friendly units within 12" of Karamazov re-roll all failed Morale and Pinning tests.

Independent characters follow the Movement rules for models of their type, be it infantry, jump infantry, bike, etc. In addition, independent characters can move through difficult terrain more quickly and safely than ordinary troops. All independent characters have the ‘move through cover’ and ‘skilled rider’ special rules. This advantage does not extend to any vehicles they may be travelling in.

Independent characters are allowed to join other units. They cannot, however, join vehicle squadrons (see the Vehicles section) and units that always consist of a single model (like most vehicles and monstrous creatures). They can join other independent characters though, to form a powerful multi-character unit!

Relentless models can shoot with rapid fire and heavy weapons counting as stationary, even if they moved in the previous Movement phase, and are also allowed to assault in the same turn they fire them. Note that a relentless independent character must still abide by the assaulting limitations of any unit it has joined, if the unit is not itself relentless.
