Terror
Unit causes Terror.
Troops who are confronted by monsters or situations that cause terror must test to see whether they overcome their terror. If they fail, they are completely terrified and are reduced to gibbering wrecks. Troops only ever test for terror once in a battle. Once they've overcome their terror they are not affected again.

If a creature causes terror then it automatically causes fear as well, and all the rules described for fear apply. However, you never have to take a Terror and a Fear test from the same enemy or situation - just take a Terror test: if you pass the Terror test then you automatically pass the Fear test, too. As any unit of Troops only ever takes one Terror test in a battle, any subsequent encounters with terrifying monsters or situations will simply count as fear.

A unit must make a Terror test if charged by or wishing to charge an enemy that causes terror.

A unit must make a Terror test at the start of its turn if there is an enemy which causes terror within 6".
Two Breath Weapons
Chaos Dragons have two different Breath Weapons (page 114 BRB). A chaos Dragon may use both breath weapons in the same turn. One breathes fire S4 hit and the other breathes a Cloud of Acid Strength 2 (-3Sv)
Large Target

Breath Weapons
Fiery Dragons and the dreaded Hydras and Chimeras of the Chaos Wastes, as well as some even more bizarre creatures, have the ability to breathe fire, noxious gas, lightning or even stranger breath weapons.

A model with a breath weapon may use it in the Shooting phase. Use the Flame template, placing the broad end over your intended target as you wish and the narrow end next to the creature's head. Any model that lies completely under the template is hit automatically - models whose bases lie partially under the template are hit on a 4+. The strength and any special effects of the breath weapon will be detailed in the entry for each individual creature. Characters under the template are eligible for 'Look out, Sir!' rolls if they are in a unit.

Diagram <breath-attacks>: _The teardrop-shaped template is placed with the thin end at the Dragon's mouth and the wide end over the target unit. In this example, four models are completely under the template and are hit automatically. Eleven models are partially covered and are hit on a 4+._

Breath weapons may not be used as a stand & shoot charge reaction, and neither can they be used in close combat. A creature with a breath weapon needs time to belch forth its flames!
Daemonic Aura
Daemons are not of mortal flesh and have some immunity to mundane weapons. Daemons get a 5+ Ward save. However, this Ward save cannot be used against magical attacks (le. spells and magic items).
Spirit of Galrauch
At the beginning of each turn of the controlling player, Galrauch must take a Leadership test. If the test is passed, Galrauch will be controlled as normal, but if the test is failed, the ancient spirit of the Dragon will surface again for an instant.

**The test failed by rolling an 11 (or less, if any modifier applies): Struggle.**

The Dragon will not move, cast spells or use his Breath Weapons. In the Close Combat phase he will direct half of his attack against himself. If the Dragon is already engaged in close combat, the remaining half of his attacks are carried out as normal, as decided by the controlling player. The wounds caused by the Dragon against himself are added to the enemy's score when working out the combat's resolution.

**The test failed by rolling a natural 12 (ie, double 6, regardless of modifiers): Revenge!**

The Dragon will not move, cast spells or use his breath weapons. In the Close Combat phase he will not attack at all.

In his opponent's turn, the Dragon will be controlled by his opponent exactly as if he was his own. If the Dragon was already engaged in close combat with his opponent's troops, he can be moved out of combat freely.

He cannot use the Breath of Change when controlled by an opponent in this way.

At the start of the Chaos player's turn, the Dragon must take another Leadership test as normal, and he will return to the original owner's control if he passes.
