If successfully cast, pick 1 enemy unit within range and visible to the caster. That unit suffers D3 mortal wounds. Then, roll a dice. On a 1-3 the effect of this spell ends. On a 4+, that unit suffers an additional D3 mortal wounds. Keep rolling in this way until either the effect of the spell ends or the unit is destroyed.
