Description: There are many kinds of shooting used by the armies of the 9th Age, from bows, guns and thrown weapons to arcane devices and grand artillery machines. With the exception of magical spells, the Shooting Phase is your chance to unleash all of your ranged attacks at the foe, thinning their forces without the risks of close melee. But of course the enemy may not make it easy, taking cover behind any battlefield shelter they can find to foil your attempts at a clear shot.
The Shooting Phase consists of the following steps:
1 - Choose one of your units and perform a Shooting Attack with it.
2 - Select the target of the attack and which models in the unit will shoot. Each model must have Line of Sight to at least one model in the target unit and be within its effective range.
3 - Resolve the shooting attack.
4 - Repeat steps 1 to 3 with a different unit that has not yet performed a Shooting Attack during this phase, if desired.
When all units that can and want to shoot have done so, the Shooting Phase ends.
