Attack Attributes

(Rule)
Description:
<nuxt-link class="ruleLink" to="/app/rule/attack_attributes">Attack attributes</nuxt-link> is a subcategory of <nuxt-link class="ruleLink" to="/app/rule/model">Model</nuxt-link> Rules. While most <nuxt-link class="ruleLink" to="/app/rule/model">Model</nuxt-link> Rules apply to the entire <nuxt-link class="ruleLink" to="/app/rule/model">model</nuxt-link>, including all <nuxt-link class="ruleLink" to="/app/rule/model">model</nuxt-link> parts on the same base, <nuxt-link class="ruleLink" to="/app/rule/attack_attributes">Attack Attributes</nuxt-link> are the exception, and only affect individual <nuxt-link class="ruleLink" to="/app/rule/model">model</nuxt-link> parts, or even individual <nuxt-link class="ruleLink" to="/app/rule/attacks">attacks</nuxt-link>. <nuxt-link class="ruleLink" to="/app/rule/attack_attributes">Attack Attributes</nuxt-link> by default only affect <nuxt-link class="ruleLink" to="/app/rule/melee_attacks">Melee Attacks</nuxt-link>.
<nuxt-link class="ruleLink" to="/app/rule/attack_attributes">Attack Attributes</nuxt-link> for <nuxt-link class="ruleLink" to="/app/rule/model">models</nuxt-link> are therefore written under the Offensive Characteristics part of the <nuxt-link class="ruleLink" to="/app/rule/model">model</nuxt-link> entry, and thus only affect the specific <nuxt-link class="ruleLink" to="/app/rule/model">model</nuxt-link> part it’s listed under. Note however that if an Attack Attribute is given to a unit (e.g. as a result of a spell), it applies to every <nuxt-link class="ruleLink" to="/app/rule/model">model</nuxt-link> part in that unit, and if given to a <nuxt-link class="ruleLink" to="/app/rule/model">model</nuxt-link>, it applies to all parts of that <nuxt-link class="ruleLink" to="/app/rule/model">model</nuxt-link>.
In addition to being given to a <nuxt-link class="ruleLink" to="/app/rule/model">model</nuxt-link> part, <nuxt-link class="ruleLink" to="/app/rule/attack_attributes">Attack Attributes</nuxt-link> can also be given to a weapon, a spell, or an attack. Such <nuxt-link class="ruleLink" to="/app/rule/attack_attributes">Attack Attributes</nuxt-link> only affect <nuxt-link class="ruleLink" to="/app/rule/attacks">attacks</nuxt-link> made with those specific sources. They won’t affect other <nuxt-link class="ruleLink" to="/app/rule/attacks">attacks</nuxt-link> made by the same <nuxt-link class="ruleLink" to="/app/rule/model">model</nuxt-link> part.
<nuxt-link class="ruleLink" to="/app/rule/attack_attributes">Attack Attributes</nuxt-link> by default only affect <nuxt-link class="ruleLink" to="/app/rule/melee_attacks">Melee Attacks</nuxt-link>. There are two main exceptions to this:

  • An Attack Attribute given specifically to a weapon, a spell or attack will affect it regardless of if it would normally only be applicable to <nuxt-link class="ruleLink" to="/app/rule/melee_attacks">Melee Attacks</nuxt-link>.

  • <nuxt-link class="ruleLink" to="/app/rule/attack_attributes">Attack Attributes</nuxt-link> that come with their own Strength, Armour Penetration (including <nuxt-link class="ruleLink" to="/app/rule/attack_attributes">Attack Attributes</nuxt-link> that et the Str/AP of the attack, such as Toxic Attacks) are not affected by <nuxt-link class="ruleLink" to="/app/rule/attack_attributes">Attack Attributes</nuxt-link> on the <nuxt-link class="ruleLink" to="/app/rule/model">model</nuxt-link> part. For example, a dragon might have <nuxt-link class="ruleLink" to="/app/rule/grind_attack">Grind Attack</nuxt-link>(Str, AP, <nuxt-link class="ruleLink" to="/app/rule/flaming_attacks">Flaming Attacks)</nuxt-link> and <nuxt-link class="ruleLink" to="/app/rule/lethal_strike">Lethal Strike</nuxt-link>. The hits from its <nuxt-link class="ruleLink" to="/app/rule/grind_attack">Grind Attack</nuxt-link> are not affected by <nuxt-link class="ruleLink" to="/app/rule/lethal_strike">Lethal Strike</nuxt-link>, since this is an Attribute on the dragon itself.
