Description: The Royal Palanquin is a Mount, however, it does not act like a Cavalry model and does not provide the Cavalry keyword to the Dragon Emperor. Instead, the whole model is treated as an Infantry model.
If a special rule or Magical Power would affect a Cavalry model, and will affect both the rider and the Mount of a model, then this will still afftec both the Dragon Emperor and the Palanquin as normal. If a special rule or Magical Power would affect a Cavalry model, and will affect either the rider and the Mount of a model, then the player using the special rule or Magical Power may still choose either the Dragon Emperor or the Palanquin to be affected.
Whilst the Palanquin has 3 or more Wounds remaining it will Move as normal. If it is reduced to 2 Wounds, then its Move Value is reduced to 3". If it only has a single Wound remaining then it cannot Move at all.
When the Palanquin is hit by a shooting attack, the shooter must take an In The Way Test to see if the Dragon Emperor or the Palanquin itself are hit. However, for this In The Way Test a roll of 1-4 will hit the Royal Palanquin and a 5+ will hit the Dragon Emperor. A model with the Sharpshooter special rule may still target either rider or Mount as normal.
The Palanquin is always treated as a single Mount, rather than multiple single models. If the Dragon Emperor dismounts from the Palanquin, or is slain whilst riding the Palanquin, then replace the Palanquin with a number of Black Dragon Warriors with shield equal to the number of Wounds the Palanquin currently has remaining - they do not need to take Courage Tests as a result of being a Separated Mount. These models should be placed within the footprint of the Palanquin.
The Royal Palanquin cannot be knocked Prone for any reason, with the exception of if it is hit by the Direct Hit of a Siege Engine.
The Royal Palanquin, and any model riding it, cannot be affectd by the Hurl or Barge Brutal Power Attacks, and cannot be forced back by Magical Powers (such as Call Winds) or by being flung back by the effects of a Siege Engine.
The Royal Palanquin has the Dominant (X) special rule, where X is the number of Wounds it has remaining.
